MANITOWOC — A Burger Boat Co. yacht, the Ingot was recently named Best Motor Yacht Under 50 Meters at the 19th annual ShowBoats International Awards in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
The award recognizes a motor yacht that accomplishes the goals of its owner, builder and designer with undeniable style. Widely recognized, the ShowBoats International Awards are one of the oldest and most desired by yacht owners, builders and designers, according to a Burger news release.
The Ingot premiered at the 2008 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and was popular at the 2009 Monaco Yacht Show, according to the release.
Designed to be an environmentally friendly yacht, Ingot provides 5,025 square feet of interior space and 4,150 square feet of exterior deck and leisure space. Burger Boat Co. and Vripack in the Netherlands collaborated to design the yacht's interior, which features book-matched, raised-panel Honduras mahogany and numerous custom-built mahogany and inlaid pillars. An elevator services all levels next to an interior central staircase with a full glass surround at skydeck level.
A separate stairway provides discreet crew access from the galley to a skydeck service pantry. Each of the four spacious king-size staterooms has a heated floor and is finished in rare marbles, granites and onyx. Two Caterpillar 3508B Series II engines power Ingot to a top speed of 15 knots. Cruising at 11 knots provides her with range of 4,000 nautical miles.
