Lakeside Foods plant in Minnesota honored

PLAINVIEW, Minn. — Workplace safety and health representatives from the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry recognized Lakeside Foods for its safety achievements at its Plainview plant.

Dave Yanda, Lakeside Foods president, said Plainview is the first of 14 company facilities to achieve such recognition, and its other Wisconsin and Minnesota plants would seek similar recognition.

Lakeside worked with MNOSHA Workplace Safety Consultation to assemble a comprehensive safety and health program including management leadership and employee involvement, an allocation of resources to address safety issues, systems that identify and control workplace hazards, and a plan for employee safety training and education.
