MILWAUKEE — Aurora Health Care was a top performer in a national incentive demonstration project seeking higher quality care in five clinical areas.
The areas are congestive heart failure, heart attack, pneumonia, heart bypass surgery and hip and knee replacement.
Aurora hospitals were top performers in 40 of 47 quality areas measured and received incentive payments totaling $376,000 in 24 areas.
The program is conducted by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and Premier Healthcare Alliance.
