RPM Small Engine offers tune-ups, maintenance

MANITOWOC — Steve Salo and Ed Dorvinen have opened RPM Small Engine, 1310 Martin St. It is an authorized Briggs & Stratton service center, able to perform warranty work. The two men said they will do spring tune-ups, blade sharpening and general maintenance.

Dorvinen has his diesel shop journeyman certificate and also has expertise in air conditioning/refrigeration. Salo has worked in the tool, die cast and plastic molding industry as a journeyman tool and die designer. He has expertise in engine blocks, cylinder heads and other engine components.

"We service lawn and garden gas engine powered equipment for both residential and commercial use, including lawn mowers, garden tillers, riding mowers, pressure washers, weed trimmers and chain saws," Dorvinen said. Their new business is open 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
