HFM honored for safety excellence

MANITOWOC — Holy Family Memorial was recently named a recipient of the HealthGrades Patient Safety Excellence Award for the second time.

The award honors HFM for placing in the top 5 percent of the nation's hospitals in HealthGrades 6th annual Patient Safety in American Hospitals report, based on 12 key patient safety factors.

HFM has received other commendations by other national organizations for quality and safety, including the Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval, Home Care Elite Award, Joint Replacement Award, and CareScience Select Practice National Quality Leader.

"We are proud to again be a recipient of this award," said Mark Herzog, Holy Family Memorial's president and CEO. "Patient safety is extremely important to not only our staff but our community."

HealthGrades, one of the leading health care ranking organizations, provides ratings and profiles of hospitals, nursing homes, and physicians to consumers, corporations, health plans, and hospitals.
