Manitowoc County regional companies boast higher per worker productivity and higher quality in Wisconsin despite somewhat higher labor costs.  While we have not yet confirmed this statistically, anecdotally Terry Growcock Chairman of The Manitowoc Company tells us that his regional operations at Manitowoc Cranes Group, Manitowoc Food Service Group and Manitowoc Marine Group are the most profitable of his companies’ extensive holdings.  Additionally, Tracy Ahola, Great Lake Zone Manager of Weyerhaeuser said his Manitowoc facility is the third most profitable in the company’s nearly 100 North American facilities.
