Led by program director Fred Monique, the Northeast Wisconsin International Business Development Program is focused on promoting development of international trade throughout Northeast Wisconsin by providing a broad and comprehensive range of programs, services, and information to enable businesses to successfully enter or enhance their position in the global marketplace.
The Economic Development Corporation of Manitowoc County is a member of the Northeast WIsconsin International Business Development Program. Consultative services available include information and assistance concerning US export documentation requirements, CE certification, language translations, foreign trade zone applications, foreign market research, US trade compliance systems, international distributor and representation agreements, global freight forwarders and area customs brokers, and US certificates of origin.
Through the program, businesses also have many opportunities to learn more about international trade through conferences and presentations. Each spring, business leaders are invited to an International Trade Conference, hosted by U.S. Reps. Tom Petri (R-Fond du Lac) and Mark Green (R-Green Bay). In addition, a Global Speaker Series offers presentations on important business topics and trends.
